Lesson Description

As one of the most strategic, active, and vibrant ministries of the local church, children's ministries requires much planning. Without adequate planning, children’s ministries will lack direction, appear aimless, and have far less impact on the lives of children and their families.

When we engage in planning, it involves identifying mission and vision, developing ministry strategies, establishing policies and procedures, calendaring, and budgeting. The primary goal for these planning activities is to move our ministry forward to accomplishing its goals and objectives. This lesson will provide a biblical foundation for planning as well as practical guidance for children’s ministry leaders to be equipped in the five major functions of planning.
